Job summary

Major Recruitment Doncaster is seeking a reliable Compound Driver to move and park vehicles in a busy Doncaster compound. You will update locations, inspect vehicles and assist with storage and distribution, working across day and night shifts.

Training starts on day shifts before transitioning to permanent night work; outdoor roles require adaptability and a strong safety focus. Experience with premium vehicles is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Comfortable driving manual, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Previous driving or vehicle handling experience.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Basic IT skills with handheld devices and computer systems.
• Good communication and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive, move and park vehicles within a busy compound.
• Record and update vehicle locations using handheld devices and IT systems.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections and report faults before movement.
• Park vehicles for storage, transport or onward distribution.
• Handle premium vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain safety standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Support the logistics team to meet daily targets.
• Maintain accuracy, productivity and vehicle security during shifts.
• Work day and night shifts as required.
