Job summary

McLaren Racing, based at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield, offers a two‑year rotational graduate program across engineering and quality. You will support design, manufacturing, project and facility workstreams and gain experience through 4 x 6‑month rotations, developing technical skills, operational understanding and leadership potential.

This onsite role prepares you for a permanent position within McLaren’s composites function.

Qualifications

  • You must have achieved or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree in composite research, engineering or a related degree at a UK university.
  • Desire to work at the cutting edge of the automotive industry within our composites business area.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, planning, undertaking and supporting development activities to improve composite processes.
  • Optimise process and material flow, identify and mitigate bottlenecks through technical innovation.
  • Support production activities, including process or technical fault finding, and respond to product quality concerns with containment and countermeasure actions
  • Record, process, analyse and interpret complex process data to improve process knowledge, drive technical development, and resolve problems in a robust manner.
  • Alongside your rotations, you'll take part in professional development workshops, innovation challenges, and knowledge sharing sessions to sharpen both your technical expertise and leadership potential

Job description

We are recruiting for graduates to join our fantastic Engineering and Quality teams at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre based in Sheffield. The successful candidates will support the Engineering and Quality teams to plan, implement and control changes to design, manufacturing, project and facility workstreams. This is a two-year rotational programme (4 x 6 months), offering experience across various manufacturing and quality processes. It's designed to develop your technical skills, operational understanding, and leadership capability, preparing you for a permanent role within the McLaren Composites function.

Please note this is an onsite position.

What You'll Do
