McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield is recruiting for a Composites Engineering Graduate Scheme for 2027 to rotate across engineering and quality teams over 24 months. You'll gain hands-on experience in planning, implementing and controlling changes to design, manufacturing, project and facility workstreams.

You should have or be on track for a 2:1 in a relevant degree, a passion for cars, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must have achieved or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree in composite research, engineering or a related degree at a UK university.
• Passion for cars and desire to work at cutting edge of automotive composites.
• Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and support development activities to improve composite processes.
• Optimise process and material flow and mitigate bottlenecks through technical innovation.
• Support production activities, address process or technical faults and respond to product quality concerns with containment actions.

The successful candidates will support the Engineering and Quality teams to plan, implement and control changes to design, manufacturing, project and facility workstreams. This is a two-year rotational programme (4 x 6 months), offering experience across various manufacturing and quality processes. It’s designed to develop your technical skills, operational understanding, and leadership capability, preparing you for a permanent role within the McLaren Composites function.Please note this is an onsite position.What You'll DoAs an Engineering Graduate, you will be gaining valuable experience within our Engineering and Quality team. This will include, but may not be limited to, working in these key areas:Identifying, planning, undertaking and supporting development activities to improve composite processes.Optimise process and material flow, identify and mitigate bottlenecks through technical innovation.Support production activities, including process or technical fault finding, and respond to product quality concerns with containment and countermeasure actionsRecord, process, analyse and interpret complex process data to improve process knowledge, drive technical development, and resolve problems in a robust manner.
