Job summary

Safran is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Engineer for its Burnley site, supported by Morson to deliver world‑class manufacturing processes. The role focuses on defining robust processes, designing with a Takt/Flow mindset, and creating SOPs and control points to secure quality and cost targets.

You will work with One Safran Manufacturing Handbook and manage risks using PFMEA and SPC, coordinating with internal and external suppliers and programmes.

Qualifications

• Define manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with specifications and One Safran standards.
• Design processes with Takt/Flow philosophy and maintain ergonomic risk considerations.
• Create SOPs, work instructions, quality controls and approval authorities for engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Create routes, BOMS, master layouts, tooling requests and data sheets.
• Ensure process designs meet targets for quality, cost and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers (internal and external).
• Coordinate industrial product validation activities.
• Engage with Programmes for Health & Safety and Digitalisation initiatives.
