Job summary

HPCareers Limited is seeking a Composite Laminator to join a facility in Wirral, Merseyside. The role is a contract position renewed quarterly, with a typical Mon–Fri days pattern and overtime available.

Pay rate is £26.00 per hour. The successful candidate will laminate across varied aerospace components, read engineering drawings, and adhere to precise instructions while contributing to process documentation and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years laminating experience across a broad range of products.
• Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal/external specs, and laminating instructions ensuring accuracy and documentation.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to develop standard work instructions and participate in DFMA workshops for new product introduction.
• Identify and support continuous improvement in trimming and assembly.

Our client operates from their state-of-the-art facility in the Wirral, but they also have locations all over the UK and worldwide.

Specialising in the design and manufacture of components to the aerospace industry.

Desired requirements:

• A minimum 2 years experience in Laminating across a broad range of products, although further training and support will be provided.
• Should be confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal and external specifications, and laminating instructions as appropriate ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
• Working closely with manufacturing engineering to support the development of standard work instructions and taking part in design for manufacture workshops for new product introduction.
• Identifying, defining, and supporting the introduction of continuous improvement activities in the area of trimming and assembly.
• A practical level qualification e.g. an NVQ, Apprenticeship in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical.
