Job summary

The Parker Meggitt aerospace facility in Hertfordshire is seeking a Composite Fitter/Laminator to manufacture, assemble and fit aerospace composite components from engineering drawings. You will perform bonding, riveting, drilling, and finishing, ensuring all work meets strict aerospace standards.

You will work Monday to Friday, on-site, with early finish on Fridays and a competitive pay package plus annual bonus and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Composite Fitter / Laminator / Aircraft Fitter in the aerospace industry.
• Strong competency in bonding, riveting, drilling, and fitting of composite and metallic components.
• Ability to interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform bonding operations using adhesives, films, and structural bonding techniques.
• Conduct riveting and mechanical fastening to aerospace specification.
• Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all components meet required aerospace quality and inspection standards.
• Perform rework and repairs on composite structures as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health & safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery deadlines.
