Overview

We are seeking an experienced Composite Fitter to support the manufacture, repair, and assembly of composite structures within the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on skills in bonding, riveting, and precision fitting, with experience working to aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, assemble, and fit aerospace composite components.
  • Carry out composite lay‑up, trimming, drilling, and finishing operations.
  • Perform bonding operations using adhesives, films, and structural bonding techniques.
  • Conduct riveting and mechanical fastening to aerospace specification.
  • Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all components meet required aerospace quality and inspection standards.
  • Perform rework and repairs on composite structures as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health & safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery deadlines.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience as a Composite Fitter / Laminator / Aircraft Fitter in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong competency in bonding, riveting, drilling, and fitting of composite and metallic components.
  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and quality requirements.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
