Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Composite Assembly Fitter in Bradley Stoke to join a fast-growing advanced manufacturing business. You will work on assembly, bonding and finishing of high-performance composite components for aerospace, defence, automotive and space sectors.

Responsibilities include bonding, assembly per drawings and instructions, quality checks and documentation, with opportunities to progress within a technology-driven company. Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a fitting, assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes, including surface preparation, adhesive application, curing and validation.
• Assemble composite components in line with engineering drawings, CAD data and manufacturing instructions.
• Perform fettling and finishing activities using approved tools and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain jigs, fixtures and tooling in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete production documentation and job bookings accurately.
• Identify and report assembly, tooling or component issues.
• Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Maintain excellent standards of quality and housekeeping.

Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–2:30pm

As a Composite Assembly Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, bonding and finishing of high-performance composite components, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and delivered in line with customer requirements.
