Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is offering a year-long Industrial Placement in Composite Design in Brackley. You will design and develop carbon components, own projects end-to-end, and work across design groups during critical launch/build periods.

You will gain CAD experience (CATIA 3DX), learn laminate definitions, and contribute to mass optimisation with proactive teamwork and independent drive.

Qualifications

• Be currently studying a degree with relevance to engineering.
• Have at least one year remaining on your current course or be enrolled on your next course.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of composite components for the car.
• Own projects from design through to detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing feedback.
• Work with process to create laminate definition information.
• Perform simple hand calculations for initial sizing and liaise for detailed feedback.
• Support other design groups with CAD geometry release during launch/build periods.
• Contribute to mass optimization and innovative design solutions.
