Job Description

Ultra PCS seeks a Compliance Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. This role ensures all products and processes meet aerospace and defence standards and regulatory requirements, including CAA Part 21J & G, CAA & EASA Part 145, AS9100, ISO 9001, among others. Responsibilities include conducting audits, managing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement to uphold product integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance within our manufacturing processes, conduct audits, manage documentation, and provide guidance on regulatory and customer requirements, focusing on industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure processes, products, and services comply with applicable aerospace and defence regulations and supply chain standards.
  2. Audits: Conduct internal and supplier audits, identify non-conformances, and collaborate on corrective actions.
  3. Continuous Improvement: Lead quality improvement projects using root cause analysis and lean methodologies.
  4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain quality records, audit reports, and compliance certifications; report on KPIs.
  5. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to meet quality requirements and improve the supply chain.
  6. Customer Interface: Address quality concerns with customers and regulatory agencies, ensuring proper flow-down of requirements.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of aerospace standards (e.g., CAA & EASA Part 145, AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Familiarity with aerospace regulations (ITAR, DFARS, FAA) and military specs.
  • Experience with auditing practices and risk-based thinking.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Analytical skills for trend analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone).
  • Project management skills.
  • At least 5 years in quality engineering within aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
  • Auditing experience with certifications preferred.
  • Experience managing supplier quality and process improvements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems for quality tracking.
