Job summary

Connect Legal Partners is seeking a compliance professional to develop and maintain the firm’s regulatory policies. You will provide day-to-day guidance on professional conduct, conflicts, onboarding, and regulatory issues, while supporting reporting, registers, and investigations.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and IT literacy, with familiarity of iManage, Intapp or 3E being helpful. A competitive package with flexible working patterns is offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organisational skills.
• Experience in professional services or with a regulator is advantageous.

Responsibilities

The firm

A national full service law firm with offices across the UK. The business services teams support lawyers across a wide range of practice areas.

The role

You will help develop and maintain the policies and procedures behind the firm’s regulatory compliance and give day to day guidance to colleagues. The work covers professional conduct and regulatory issues, conflicts and client onboarding queries, regulatory reporting and investigations, keeping registers up to date, file reviews and compliance monitoring, and writing compliance bulletins. You will build knowledge of legal and professional regulatory requirements.

What you will need

Strong written and spoken communication, confidence dealing with people at all levels, and good organisation across competing priorities. Solid IT skills and some knowledge of regulatory requirements in professional services. Experience in a professional services business or with a regulator, or of iManage, Intapp or 3E, would help.
