Job summary

Acuity INC is seeking an organized Compliance Officer to join our Recruitment & Compliance team on a 6‑month fixed-term contract in Nottingham with hybrid working. You will support onboarding while ensuring regulatory standards are met.

Focus on DBS checks, Right to Work, training coordination, and timely reporting; experience in health and social care compliance is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance, HR or recruitment within health and social care.
  • Ability to review DBS checks, references, qualifications, and Right to Work evidence.
  • Experience onboarding candidates via digital platforms or ATS.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding comply with legislation and regulatory standards, including CQC Regulation 19 and Right to Work.
  • Review and verify compliance documents and onboarding records.
  • Manage candidate onboarding through digital platforms and ATS.
  • Create and maintain staff access to systems and training platforms.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and address compliance risks or delays.
  • Coordinate mandatory training bookings (in-person, online, blended).
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for induction or training events.
  • Produce regular compliance reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections.

Job description

We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Compliance Officer to join our Recruitment & Compliance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, recruitment, or HR within the health and social care sector to play a key role in ensuring our recruitment and onboarding processes meet all regulatory and legal requirements. Based in Nottingham with hybrid working available, you will support the onboarding of new employees while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.,

  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding processes comply with relevant legislation and regulatory standards, including CQC Regulation 19 and Right to Work requirements.
  • Review and verify compliance documentation, including DBS checks, references, qualifications, employment history, and Right to Work evidence.
  • Manage candidate onboarding through digital platforms and applicant tracking systems.
  • Create and maintain staff access to essential systems and training platforms.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address any compliance risks or delays.
  • Coordinate mandatory training bookings, including face-to-face, online, and blended learning programmes.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for employees attending induction or training events.
  • Produce regular compliance reports and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal audits and preparations for regulatory inspections.
  • Previous experience in a compliance, HR, or recruitment role within the health and social care sector.
  • Knowledge of CQC Regulation 19 and Right to Work legislation.
  • Experience using onboarding systems or applicant tracking systems, ideally TribePad.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new digital platforms quickly.
