QED Legal Recruitment Limited in Gloucester is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee SRA regulatory compliance, AML, GDPR, complaints, and quality assurance. You will work closely with senior leaders and shape the compliance function within a growing legal practice.

The role suits an existing Compliance Manager or a Senior Compliance Officer ready for a step up, with hybrid work (3 days in the Gloucester office) and exposure to governance, lender panel requirements, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance within an SRA-regulated law firm.
• Strong knowledge of SRA regulations, AML and data protection.
• Experience with file reviews, complaints and CQS requirements.
• Confident advising senior leaders.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing SRA regulatory compliance and internal policies.
• Overseeing AML procedures, risk assessments and MLRO responsibilities.

I'm working with a growing legal business looking to appoint a Compliance Manager in Gloucester. This is a broad role covering SRA compliance, AML, data protection, complaints and quality assurance, with direct access to the Managing Directors and the opportunity to shape how compliance works across the business.

It could suit an existing Compliance Manager or an experienced Senior Compliance Officer ready for a step up.

The Role?

You'll be the central point of contact for compliance advice across the firm's SRA-regulated businesses, supporting senior leaders and colleagues with practical guidance.

Managing SRA regulatory compliance and internal policies

Overseeing AML procedures, risk assessments and MLRO responsibilities

Managing GDPR and data protection requirements

Conducting file reviews, compliance audits and quality assurance

Handling complaints and identifying improvements

Supporting CQS accreditation and lender panel requirements

Coordinating insurance renewals and managing associated risks

Supporting corporate governance and Companies House obligations

Delivering compliance training across the business

About You?
