Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage A&E Compliance Administrators by overseeing workload and deadlines.
• Monitor the quality of all team outputs, including RIDDOR wording and stakeholder reports, ensuring accuracy and grammar.
• Conduct one-to-one meetings to identify training needs and develop material for team development.
• Handle disciplinary and grievance processes with team members, supporting management on accidents and enforcement reporting.
• Review and assess potential RIDDOR reports to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy.
• Follow up on client accident reports to determine if time off work occurred and if RIDDOR applies.
• Escalate enforcement activity promptly when compliance issues arise.
• Build and report relationships with internal and external stakeholders including client Compliance, Claims, HSE, and enforcement authorities.
• Develop management information on accident causation and enforcement trends and provide regular reporting.
• Ensure effective internal and external claims management and provide administrative support for the wider group.
• Oversee and manage the IT Evolve system and ensure staff complete mandatory training.
• Attend Group HSE meetings and contribute statistics and insights as required.
• Perform any other duties contributing to Health & Safety objectives.

Job DescriptionAnderson Knight is delighted to be Partnering our client for a Compliance Manager This is a multi-facet role reporting into the Head of Health & Safety with working relationships with the Head of Health & Safety. The role is partially client facing as the role manages a team of colleagues communicating daily to the client delivering the accident & enforcement service but is also an internal role managing and processing claims providing MI and reporting on accidents, RIDDOR, claims and audits as well as supporting on functional processes such as PPE. The role requires a great deal of stakeholder engagement, organisational skills and an analytical mind to ensure data, information shared is factually correct as the impact of getting it wrong could be enforcement action, media interest, financial and reputational consequences. The role is part of the wider senior Health & Safety team working with other parts of the business to undertake projects as required and promote safety. Dutes & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage A&E Compliance Administrators by managing and monitoring workload. This will involve managing the inboxes of the team by checking to see that all work is completed by the team in line with agreed timescales.
• To monitor the quality of all work produced by the team including sampling RIDDOR wording and reports that go out to all stakeholders and is accountable to ensure reports are of the highest standard in terms of grammar and factual accuracy.
• Carry out one to one meetings with each team member and identify any training or development requirements and from this produce and deliver training material to meet these identified. To hold team meetings and deliver updates and training to the whole team within these meetings.
• To complete disciplinary and grievance processes with Team members when required. To work alongside the Call Centre Management Team to advise, support and manage on all aspects of accidents and enforcement reporting
• To ensure all accident reports that have been highlighted by the system as potential RIDDORs are reviewed and assessed to ensure compliance with requirements of RIDDOR regulations. Ensure these reports are accurate.
• To ensure that an agreed sample of the client’s colleague accidents that have been reported are followed up to establish if the colleague has received time off work as a result of the reported accident and to establish if RIDDOR is applicable, and if so, reported by the quickest possible means to the Incident Control Centre
• To ensure all enforcement activity for the client is received and escalated in a timely and efficient manner where compliance issues are identified.
• Establish and develop relationships and reporting with key stakeholders both internally and externally including, client Compliance function, Claims management function, the health and safety executive and enforcement authorities.
• Implement and monitor management information on accident causation and enforcement trends, and provide reporting and analysis to the clients Compliance function at agreed frequencies
• Ensure delivery of an effective and efficient internal and external claims management system.
• Ensure the H & S administrative support is delivered by the A&E team for wider group business across the business
• Oversee and manage their IT Evolve system for all staff within the team – taking responsibility for the team completing their mandatory and suggested training modules.
• Attend and contribute to the Group HSE meetings, provide group stats and insight as required.
• Any other duties which contribute towards meeting the objectives of the Health & Safety Department
