Role Overview

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for data analysis, report writing, managing the complaints system, and ensuring compliance around reporting on the contract.

  • Tracking and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established with the Councils, as well as internal targets set by Biffa.
  • Establishing and maintaining a self-monitoring mechanism to ensure compliance and optimize operational schedules for efficiency.
  • Identifying and communicating non-compliance issues to Business Managers, collaborating to implement improvement plans, and drawing on industry best practices.
  • Delivering comprehensive reports, including evaluations of potential trial initiatives, to meet Council specifications.
  • Analyzing and presenting data for inclusion in Council reports and participating in client meetings as needed.
  • Proposing and overseeing continuous improvement initiatives with Councils and Business Managers, supporting adherence to performance standards, and devising strategies for efficiency and sustainability enhancements.
  • Assisting in staff training initiatives and contributing to meetings and performance appraisals.
  • Supporting staff records management, including holiday entitlements, sick leave, and training documentation.
  • Ensuring smooth operation of staff-related administrative tasks.
Requirements
Here’s what we require:
  • Proven success in meeting service delivery KPIs.
  • Experience in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in producing and analyzing reports using Microsoft Office, especially Excel with Pivot tables and formulas.
  • Understanding of working within time-sensitive service environments and proficiency in business software and systems.
  • Effective influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Analytical mindset for monitoring and corrective actions based on data.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication across all levels.
