An established industry player is seeking an Assistant Governance Manager to uphold compliance across operations. Location:This role can be based either in Colchester (Earls Colne) or North Weald (Epping / Harlow / M11 corridor)
Contract type: 1 year fixed term contract to as maternity cover, with the possibility of extension
Salary:£32,000 FTE (£19,200 pro-rata)
Hours: 3 days / 22.5 hours per week
Workplace: Hybrid working available - 2 days office based, 1 day working from home

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.
Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.
They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only available in the hospital emergency department.
Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.
Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives…we can’t fly without you!
Job purpose:
The Compliance Manager rolehas the purpose of maintaining a culture of compliance across the charity whilst ensuring we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.
Together with the Governance Manager, you will be the key point of contact for compliance, providing advice and support to the team and ensuring we have procedures and controls in place across all areas of the charity.This will include training to ensure the team is skilled and acting consistently, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.
Internally this role will be titledAssistant Governance Managerand will report to the Governance Manager.
