Job summary

Compliance Manager role with a Lloyd's Market Insurer in London offers broad exposure to conduct risk, governance, regulatory reporting and change management. You will work closely with the Head of Compliance to provide pragmatic guidance across compliance activities and support Board-level decision-making.

The role involves leading reviews, policy enhancements, and close collaboration with underwriters and senior stakeholders, with a hybrid pattern (3 days in, 2 from home) and a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• 5+ years' compliance experience in Insurance (Lloyd's Market ideal).
• Strong knowledge of UK FCA and PRA requirements.
• Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory change.
• Experience producing management, committee and Board reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to challenge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conduct risk framework, including Consumer Duty, product governance and vulnerable customer considerations.
• Deliver compliance reporting to executive and governance committees, highlighting risks and actions.
• Prepare Board and Committee papers on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Oversee complaints management and use trend analysis to drive improvements.
• Lead thematic reviews and compliance monitoring activity across the business.
• Review and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Manage key regulatory reporting requirements to regulators and group stakeholders.
• Assess regulatory developments and support implementation across the organisation.
• Provide oversight and approval of financial promotions.
• Act as trusted compliance partner to underwriters and senior stakeholders.

A leading London market insurer is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join its high-performing Legal & Compliance function. This is a broad, hands-on role offering significant exposure to conduct risk, governance, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring and regulatory change.

Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you will act as a trusted adviser to the business, providing pragmatic, risk-based guidance and challenge across a range of compliance activities.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the conduct risk framework, including Consumer Duty, product governance, product value assessments and vulnerable customer considerations
• Delivering compliance reporting to executive and governance committees, highlighting key risks, trends and recommended actions
• Preparing Board and Committee papers on regulatory and compliance matters
• Overseeing complaints management and using trend analysis to drive improvements in customer outcomes
• Leading thematic reviews and compliance monitoring activity across the business
• Reviewing and enhancing compliance policies, procedures and controls
• Managing key regulatory reporting requirements to regulators and group stakeholders
• Assessing regulatory developments and supporting implementation across the organisation
• Providing oversight and approval of financial promotions
• Acting as a trusted compliance partner to underwriters and senior stakeholders

About You:

• 5+ years' compliance experience gained within Insurance (ideally Lloyds Market)
• Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape, including FCA and PRA requirements
• Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory change
• Experience producing high-quality management, committee and Board reporting
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge
