Rutherford in London is seeking a sharp, commercially minded compliance professional to join the team and report to the Chief Compliance Officer. This hands-on role leads regulatory change from horizon scanning through to implementation and helps shape how the firm governs and uses AI.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of compliance experience, ideally in financial services or a buy-side environment.
• Experience in shaping and delivering regulatory change from horizon scanning to implementation.
• Experience collaborating across functions to embed governance, policy and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory change end to end: horizon scan, interpret, assess impact, design and implement.
• Run compliance projects across trading, operations, tech and senior management.
• Help build AI governance framework: policy, risk assessment, oversight of AI use cases, alignment with evolving regs like EU AI Act.
• Drive process improvements using AI and automation within the compliance program.
