Job summary

Rutherford, a leading international law firm in London, is seeking a talented Associate to join its Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice. You will work within a global, multidisciplinary team advising major international organisations on privacy, cybersecurity and emerging technology matters.

The role covers cybersecurity preparedness, incident response, regulatory investigations and GDPR, NIS2 and DORA compliance, as well as AI regulation, privacy programmes and cross‑jurisdictional projects

Qualifications

1–4 years' PQE, England & Wales or equivalent.
Strong data privacy and cybersecurity experience.
Exposure to incident response, regulatory compliance and privacy programmes.
Interest in AI and emerging technology.

Responsibilities

Advise on cybersecurity preparedness, incident response and post-incident remediation.
Handle regulatory investigations relating to privacy and cybersecurity.
Advise on GDPR, NIS2 and DORA compliance.
Help clients build privacy and cybersecurity programmes.
Advise on AI and emerging technology regulation.
Support M&A and investment due diligence with privacy work.
