Are you passionate about engineering and ready to take on a role where you can make a real impact? We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Beer Packaging Engineering team in Runcorn!
The Runcorn site is an 18-acre, 24/7 operation supported by 4 rotational crews. It has 2 bottling lines, 2 canning lines, and 1 kegging line, producing over 90 SKUs across 16 different beer and liquid types—averaging 23 million cases annually. We package Guinness products at our facilities in Runcorn (Northwest England) and Marshalls Road (Belfast), producing canned, bottled, and kegged products for Ireland, UK, and export markets. Both sites are undergoing significant investment to enhance capability and capacity.
As our Compliance Engineer, you'll be at the heart of ensuring all maintenance activities are continuously aligned with legislative standards. You'll work closely with Site Management, Maintenance, Risk & Governance, and the Global Engineering team to embed a culture of compliance across the board.
You’ll ensure that all Diageo policies, procedures, and standards, such as GRMS and SFIP’s, are managed within the Asset Care team. A key outcome is to ensure zero harm to employees, compliance with legislative requirements, and to avoid legal action, fines, or damage to reputation.
You should be able to influence key stakeholders including Governance, Operations, Asset Care, Finance, and Governance teams to change ways of working and drive compliance. The Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all engineering compliance reports are managed, either internally or by contractors. This role is both consultative and authoritative.
