Job summary

Weetabix in Burton Latimer seeks an Electrical Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team. You will help deliver safe, compliant electrical systems across the site, ensuring activities meet statutory regulations and internal standards, protecting people, assets and continuous manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with electrical compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Experience diagnosing electrical faults and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience with installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and interpret relevant regulatory and industry compliance standards for company assets.
  • Develop and implement compliance plans using appropriate engineering guidelines, methodologies, and best-practice approaches.
  • Partner with engineering teams to review design data and specifications, highlighting potential compliance risks.
  • Conduct required testing, inspections, and assessments, ensuring accurate recording of results and clear reporting of findings.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, recommending improvements to products, processes, and ways of working.
  • Plan and deliver corrective actions in line with company procedures and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to monitor compliance status and progress.
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Guide Duty Holders and SMEs to enhance policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide clear guidance on compliance matters and promote consistent application of best practices across the site.

Interview process: TEAMs interview followed by a on-site Face to Face interview at our Burton Latimer site.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday Flexibility between 7:30pm - 4:30pm | Flexibility between Burton Latimer & Corby site will be required.

The Recipe

The Ingredients

Key Know How:

  • Working knowledge of British Standards, Electricity at Work Regulations, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Regulations
  • Certified in CompEx (Ex01–Ex04, Ex05–Ex06, Ex11) for work in hazardous areas
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults and compliance issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Experience guiding installation, testing, and commissioning of new or modified electrical systems
