Position: Compliance Coordinator

As a Compliance Coordinator for Logistics People, your role will include but not be limited to:

We are currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join our team at our Rotherham site. As a Compliance Coordinator, you will work closely with our internal Health and Safety and compliance teams to ensure the company maintains all required certifications and is legally compliant in all its health, safety, and quality activities.

• Ensure all training records and safety documentation are maintained accurately, and in line with legislative and company requirements.
• Responsible for writing, reviewing, approving, and storing all site-controlled documents.
• Develop a Site Safety Management Plan (SMP) to ensure a consistent safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Regularly audit the SMP for compliance and update it accordingly to adhere to legislative and company requirements.
• Assist in coordinating and implementing training and processes related to Health and Safety and Food Standards programs for the site.
• Participate in and assist the site management team in incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions. Follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Ensure all site inspections are completed thoroughly and on time, raising corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain current safety boards and communication zones, including Health and Safety Policy, Insurance Certification, Safety minutes, Site Rules, and First Aid location.
• Prepare for and participate in audits such as BRCGS, MHRA, and safety audits.
• Communicate, coach, and assist staff to understand and meet safety expectations.
• Maintain high standards of training, BRCGS compliance, and Health & Safety within the working environment.
• Ensure timely site maintenance that does not compromise safety and hygiene standards.
• Organize and facilitate site meetings related to training, compliance audits, and safety.
