Job summary

Great Bear is hiring a Compliance Coordinator for our Minworth site on a full-time permanent basis. Salary £30,000 - £32,700 per year, depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.

You will assess Health & Safety in the warehouse and contribute to a safer working environment ensuring that all company and customer standards are maintained and monitored. You will develop and audit the Site Safety Management Plan and coordinate BRGCS programs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in warehouse/logistics environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional depots/departments.
• IOSH qualification is desirable.
• Organised and methodical approach.
• Experience in a health & safety role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain training records and safety documentation to required standards.
• Develop a Site Safety Management Plan (SMP) for a consistent safe working environment.
• Audit the SMP regularly to ensure compliance and update accordingly.
• Coordinate training and processes related to Health & Safety and BRGCS programs for the site.
• Assist in investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure site inspections are completed on time.
• Maintain safety boards and communication zones with current information.
• Ensure high standards of training and Health & Safety compliance.

Job Description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Coordinator to join our team at our Minworth site on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £30,000 - £32,700 per annum, depending on experience.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm.

As the Compliance Coordinator, you will assess Health & Safety in the warehouse and contribute to a safer working environment ensuring that all company and customer's required standards are maintained and monitored.

Key Duties of a Compliance Coordinator:

• Ensure all training records and safety documentation are maintained accurately, and in line with legislative and company requirements.
• Develop a Site Safety Management Plan (SMP), to ensure a consistent safe working environment for all company employees, contractors and site visitors.
• Regularly audit the SMP for compliance, and update accordingly to ensure the alignment of all legislative and company requirements are adhered to.
• Assist in the co-ordination and implementation of training and processes which relate to Health & Safety and Food Safety (BRGCS) programs for the site.
• Participate and assist the site management team in the investigation of incidents to determine the root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure all site inspections are completed in full, and on time.
• Ensure all site safety boards and communication zones, including, but not limited to: Health & Safety Policy, Insurance Certification, Site Health & Safety minutes, Site Rules, location of First Aid are all maintained and current at all times.
• Ensure that a high standard of training, BRCGS compliance and Health & Safety is adhered within the working environment.

Qualifications

• Computer Literate in Microsoft suite.
• Have a good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation is advantageous.
• Interact and communicate effectively across multi-functional depots/departments.
• IOSH qualified desirable.
• An organised and methodical approach.
• Experience in a similar health and safety role.
• Effective Communication skill.
