Job Description: Compliance Assurance Manager

We are seeking a Compliance Assurance Manager to lead our assurance activities within the General Counsel team. This role involves acting as an ambassador for Irwin Mitchell's compliance obligations, culture, and standards, while implementing best practices aligned with the firm's values and strategic plans. The manager will serve as a key client interface across Irwin Mitchell from a compliance assurance perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the work output and projects of the Compliance Assurance audit team.
2. Motivate staff and foster a positive environment for skill development, knowledge growth, and career progression.
3. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Assurance audit team.
4. Collaborate with GCT Compliance Business Partners to drive improvements across the firm.
5. Prioritize work and audits, ensuring successful outcomes and implementation.
6. Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of processes and procedures.
7. Ensure the firm has appropriate processes, systems, and controls to meet regulatory obligations, resolving complex queries as needed.
8. Contribute to the strategy of the Compliance Assurance team.
9. Lead, develop, retain, and recruit team members, setting objectives and personal development plans.

About You:

• Experience with Law Society/SRA or similar regulatory bodies.
• Background in compliance or in-house legal functions.
• Ability to work effectively under tight schedules.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement at all levels.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
