Job description

As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions — our goal is to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision motivates us to improve every day. If you're looking to build a future and make an impact, RSM is the place for you.

Make an impact within our Compliance team at RSM UK

People are an organisation’s biggest asset, but also its biggest cost and risk. RSM’s People Advisory Services helps organisations enact their people and talent strategies and manage challenges through a multidisciplinary approach in the UK and globally. Our team combines experts across employment tax, legal, payroll, HR, equity reward, and global mobility, providing clients with a seamless service. People and Pay (PAP) is the HR and payroll division of People Advisory Services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team at an exciting stage. The variety of projects will challenge you daily, helping you expand your capabilities and grow professionally. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to broaden your horizons and enjoy a culture that nurtures individuality and celebrates fresh thinking!

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Assist the PAP Compliance Team with admin tasks such as email maintenance, populating spreadsheets, sending engagement letters for electronic signatures, creating forms, and updating client questionnaires.
  • Draft professional clearance and engagement letters for clients, following internal templates and ensuring timely follow-up with clients’ payroll providers or accountants.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the client onboarding process.
  • Learn to perform anti-money laundering client due diligence in line with internal procedures and regulations, including understanding client structures, tracing beneficial ownership, analyzing electronic checks, and conducting conflict checks.
What we are looking for:

This role suits someone with keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a customer service mindset. You should have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, and be proficient in MS Office and Windows applications. Experience in client account management, AML, KYC, legal, office management, banking, or client onboarding is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in communicating with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Initiative and teamwork skills.
What we offer:

We value our people and offer a flexible reward and benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • 25 days holiday, with options to purchase additional days.
  • Wellbeing benefits including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access.
  • Access to over 300 courses on demand for professional development.
Diversity and Inclusion at RSM

We aim to create a culture of belonging where everyone can bring their true self to work. Our diverse teams bring broader perspectives and ideas, helping us better understand our clients’ needs. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that embraces difference and strengthens our community.
