Mission Underwriters is seeking a Regulatory Compliance professional to support monthly monitoring, file reviews and MI reporting for its ARs and TIIs. The role focuses on FCA rules, SM&CR and Consumer Duty within a UK insurance/MGA context.

This is a remote-first position based in the UK, with occasional in-office meetings 2–4x per year. You will maintain compliance policies, assist with training, horizon-scanning, and risk-logging, collaborating with the Risk Manager and Senior Compliance

Competenze

• Experience in a compliance, risk, audit or regulatory support role; insurance/financial services background preferred but not essential.

Mansioni

• Support monthly AR/TII monitoring and file review cycle across Mission’s ARs and TIIs.
• Carry out thematic reviews and file checks as directed by the Senior Compliance Manager.
• Produce compliance MI and reporting for management and Board/committee packs.
• Administer and maintain the compliance policy suite, including version control and review scheduling.
• Support complaints handling, logging, tracking and root-cause analysis.
• Support logging, tracking and follow up on compliance events, such as breaches, conflicts, issues & incidences.
• Maintain training & competence records and support delivery of compliance training.
• Assist with regulatory horizon-scanning and tracking upcoming requirements.
• Support the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including RCSAs and risk register maintenance.
• Track risk actions and remediation plans to closure, escalating overdue items to the Risk Manager.

Essential Function

• Support the monthly AR/TII monitoring and file review cycle across Mission’s Appointed Representatives and Tied Insurance Intermediaries.
• Carry out thematic reviews and file checks as directed by the Senior Compliance Manager.
• Produce compliance MI and reporting for management and Board/committee packs.
• Administer and maintain the compliance policy suite, including version control and review scheduling.
• Support complaints handling, logging, tracking and root-cause analysis.
• Support with logging, tracking and follow up on compliance events, such as breaches, conflicts, issues & incidences, etc.
• Maintain training & competence records and support delivery of compliance training.
• Assist with regulatory horizon-scanning and tracking upcoming requirements.
• Support the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) and risk register maintenance.
• Track risk actions and remediation plans to closure, escalating overdue items to the Risk Manager.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework (FCA rules, SM&CR, Consumer Duty); insurance or MGA sector exposure preferred.
• Strong MS Excel/Office skills, comfortable working with data to produce MI.
• High attention to detail and strong written communication.
• Able to manage a varied workload against multiple deadlines.

Experience

• Experience in a compliance, risk, audit or regulatory support role; insurance/financial services background preferred but not essential.

This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).

You must live in the UK and be authorized to work in the UK without requirement of employment sponsorship/visa.
