Job Description:
Direct Commercial is an award-winning commercial motor insurer entering an exciting period of growth. We are looking for a Compliance Admin Assistant based in or around Chelmsford to join our existing Compliance team. We are fully office-based at our Chelmsford office.

Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Participate in DCL’s compliance functions, including monitoring regulatory changes and reviewing policies and procedures annually
- Develop understanding of FCA regulation and its application to UK insurance firms
- Assist with administration of DCL’s Complaints Handling process
- Understand FCA’s Complaint Handling rules (DISP rules)
- Understand the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
- Assist with updates to company stationery and email footers in line with legislation and FCA regulations
- Oversee COI policy and log all COI and gifts per company procedures and the Bribery Act 2010
- Maintain the SMCR framework
- Manage allocation of compliance training and maintenance of Broker Assess
- Prepare monthly reports for management and insurer partners
- Perform ad-hoc compliance tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong team player with collaborative skills to deliver results and resolve issues
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in insurance or financial services sectors is desirable but not essential
