Job description

Keoghs LLP is one of the leading insurance law firms in the UK, recognized for its dynamic approach in the sector. We have exciting opportunities in our Property Risks and Coverage Large & Complex Loss team, based in Bolton and Manchester. Flexible working arrangements are encouraged for suitable candidates.

The team handles property damage claims from fires, floods, product liability, and other perils, requiring a collaborative approach. You will support experienced lawyers managing complex household and commercial property damage cases on behalf of key insurer clients.

Key Accountabilities

The team often deals with policy coverage issues and suspected fraud, advising insurers on policy coverage, success prospects, and evidential matters related to fires, floods, and other perils.

This is an assisting role; you will not manage cases independently but work on delegated tasks within the team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collating documents for legal strategy
• Preparing bundles
• Diarising court orders and critical dates
• Arranging conferences and expert attendances
• Conducting legal research and factual chronologies
• Ensuring compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate education
• Ability to prioritize workload and pay attention to detail
• Experience with case management systems
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage team demands
• Previous experience in insurance claims handling
