About your new role

Our market-leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team advises employers across the UK on all aspects of employment, pensions, and immigration law. Our clients include some of the UK's largest and most well-known employers. The quality of our clients and our strong relationships with them reflect the high standard of service we provide.

Your primary role will be to handle straightforward wages, unfair dismissal, and discrimination claims, as well as provide case support to the employment team in Liverpool.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Managing your own caseload of straightforward wages, unfair dismissal, and discrimination claims.
2. Assisting senior fee earners with complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims.
3. Supporting fee earners with tasks such as case management and preparation for court hearings.
4. Attending client meetings and court hearings to support fee earners.
5. Performing detailed analytical reviews of complex and sensitive materials and evidence.
6. Responding promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from clients and other parties, both independently and under supervision.
7. Achieving set financial and chargeable targets.

This list is not exhaustive; you will be expected to perform other duties within the broader scope of the role. As a Paralegal, you will also ensure compliance with Weightmans and client policies and procedures, working consistently in accordance with our values.

About You

You will have previous experience as a Paralegal and a genuine interest in employment law. Since the role is varied, we seek someone with a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to different tasks. Additionally, you should have:
