Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking a compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-19 in a specialist SEN setting in Richmond upon Thames.

You will work with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical disabilities and medical needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils with complex SEN.
• Experience with autism, PMLD, SLD, MLD or physical disabilities preferred.
• Willing to support communication and personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex needs.
• Assist pupils to access learning and participate in activities.
• Support communication using alternative communication methods as required.

• Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Previous experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs required

The Role - Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Seeking a compassionate and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-19 within a specialist SEN setting. You will work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical disabilities and medical needs. The role involves supporting pupils to access learning, assisting with communication using alternative communication methods, promoting independence, providing personal care where required and helping pupils achieve the outcomes outlined in their EHCPs.
