Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is recruiting a compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs in a specialist SEN setting in Richmond upon Thames. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and healthcare staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group assistance and help learners access the curriculum.

• Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Previous experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs required
• Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Experience working with autism, PMLD, SLD, MLD or physical disabilities desirable
• Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Must be confident supporting communication, personal care and learning where required

The Role - Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Seeking a compassionate and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-19 within a specialist SEN setting. You will work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical disabilities and medical needs. The role involves supporting pupils to access learning, assisting with communication using alternative communication methods, promoting independence, providing personal care where required and helping pupils achieve the outcomes outlined in their EHCPs.
