Job summary

Principal Education is seeking an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join an all-girls secondary school in Whitechapel, East London. The role requires supporting a student with complex needs, including personal and intimate care and mobility support.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 and classroom assistance, follow care plans and promote independence and wellbeing, working closely with teachers, SENCO and support staff in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with complex needs/SEND.
• Proven experience providing personal or intimate care.
• Experience with manual handling and physical support.
• Caring, patient and resilient approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a school, college, care or specialist setting is desirable.

Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Female Only

Position: Full-Time

Rate: £100-£120 per day

Principal Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive all-girls secondary school in Whitechapel.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, patient and experienced TA who has a strong background supporting students with complex needs, personal care and physical support requirements.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide dedicated support to a student with complex additional needs, helping them to access learning and participate fully in school life.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and classroom support to a student with complex needs.
• Supporting with personal care and intimate care when required.
• Assisting with manual handling and mobility support.
• Following individual care and support plans.
• Supporting the student to access lessons and school activities.
• Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCO and other support staff.
• Maintaining a calm, patient and nurturing approach at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working with complex needs/SEND.
• Proven experience providing personal or intimate care.
• Experience with manual handling and physical support.

• The ability to build strong relationships with students.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience working within a school, college, care or specialist setting is desirable.
