Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Chippenham Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Daily Pay Rate: £89 Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs in a nurturing, specialist setting? A well-resourced SEN primary school in the Chippenham area is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. About the Role: • Work with primary-aged pupils in a specialist environment tailored to meet the needs of children with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and cerebral palsy. • Provide both 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and build emotional regulation. • Support the implementation of personalised learning plans and assist with sensory integration activities. • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child is valued and supported. What We’re Looking For: • Experience supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and cerebral palsy. • A calm, nurturing, and consistent approach, with a strong ability to de-escalate challenging situations. • A good understanding of autism and sensory needs, or a willingness to learn. • Confidence in supporting physical needs, including mobility or personal care if required. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and families. • Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEND.
