We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) in a vibrant primary school in Barry. This is a long-term position starting from September 1st, with the potential for further extension based on performance and school needs.



About the Role:

You will be supporting children with a diverse range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • General behavioural and social-emotional challenges



Essential Criteria:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant within a Primary School setting

  • Ability to work effectively with children with additional learning needs

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)

  • EWC registration (Education Workforce Council)



Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning

  • Previous experience in an SRB or similar setting

  • Proven success working 1:1 with pupils with complex needs
