Job summary

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide consistent support, helping pupils develop communication, independence and life

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with complex SEN.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Understanding of autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and sensory support strategies.
• Confidence supporting pupils with personal care needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Two professional references covering the past two years in full.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support the delivery of personalised learning activities and interventions.
• Assist pupils with communication, sensory and emotional regulation strategies.
• Promote engagement, independence and confidence in learning and daily activities.
• Implement EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff.
• Support pupils with personal care, mobility and physical needs where required.
• Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, wellbeing and behaviour.
