Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its Complex Occupational Therapy Team in a hybrid role. You will support adults, young adults, children and carers with complex needs, carrying out assessments and delivering strengths-based, person-centred interventions to promote independence and wellbeing.

The role involves working two days per week in the office, travelling as required, and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide effective social care

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
• Experience undertaking OT assessments.
• Experience in adult social care or services supporting complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake OT assessments for adults, young adults and children with complex needs.
• Promote independence and safety through person-centred, strengths-based interventions.
• Collaborate with families, carers and professionals within a hybrid service model.
• Maintain clear, accurate assessment records in line with standards and local policy.
• Liaise with the Complex OT Team to deliver coordinated social care services.
