Job summary

Walsall Council's Complex Care Team is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration to work across adults, children and carers, focusing on strengths-based assessment and practical solutions to maximise independence and safety in the community.

You will undertake functional assessments, arrange equipment and adaptations, support safeguarding, and work with families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience of occupational therapy assessments and developing person-centred solutions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, legislation and best practice in adult social care.

Responsibilities

• Undertake functional assessments to promote independence.
• Assess and arrange equipment and home adaptations.
• Deliver reablement programmes and moving and handling assessments.
• Provide professional advice to individuals, carers and partner organisations.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
