Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group is seeking experienced Brain Injury Support Workers to join our team, assisting a client in Tre Harris with complex needs, including PEG and occasional gastric venting. The role requires empathy, reliability and the ability to build trust with the client and family.

We provide 2:1 support and flexible hours on a zero-hour, client-led schedule. Driving licence desirable but not essential if you can reach the client’s home.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for clients with complex needs.
• Knowledge of PEG feeding essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• PEG feeding and medication administration.
• Prepare meals and support nutrition.
• Administer medication if trained.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Support moving, mobility and physical activities.

Location: Tre Harris, South Wales
Salary: £15.69 - £16.47 per hour
Job Type: Zero-hour contract
Shifts: Tuesday - Sunday - 10am-8pm

Role Overview:
We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Brain Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Tre Harris, working on a 2:1 ratio. Our client is a female in her early 30s who lives with her family.

She has a brain injury and other complex needs including PEG and occasional Gastric Venting. We are seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• PEG feeding and medication
• Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
• Administering medication may be required (training provided)
• Providing emotional support and companionship
• Supporting with moving and handling, mobility and physical activities

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with complex needs.
• Experience and/or knowledge of PEG essential.
• A valid UK driving licence desirable, although non-drivers can be considered if you are able to get to the clients home.
• A caring and compassionate nature
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
