Job summary

Advantage Healthcare in Birmingham is seeking dedicated care professionals to provide full daily living support for a young person with complex health needs. You will assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, continence, and support a pureed diet while maintaining infection control and safety.

You will monitor for seizures, recognize triggers, and follow emergency procedures. The role requires caring, calm, and patient individuals who promote independence and actively advocate for the client

Qualifications

• Experience working with Epilepsy and seizure management would be beneficial
• To be caring and compassionate
• Keen to help promote independence of our client
• A calm and patient individual

Responsibilities

• Provide full support with daily living for a young person with complex health needs.
• Monitor for seizure activity and respond to triggers, including administering prescribed rescue medication when required.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing and continence management, and support with meals and a strict infection control routine.
• Support the family and advocate for the client to promote safety, communication, and participation in activities.
