Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, Buckley, Wales, is seeking a friendly Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7. The role involves repositioning, feeding support, respiratory management and monitoring, with full training provided.

Experience in caring for children with complex needs is required; respiratory management experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting.
• Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility and manual handling.
• Support feeding via jejunostomy/gastrostomy button and administer medication.
• Monitor skin and tissue viability.
• Respond to epilepsy and dystonia with required rescue medication.
• Provide oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring.
• Support respiratory interventions as needed, including bag/mask ventilation.
• Assist with physiotherapy programme.
