Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group in Retford is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a client with a spinal injury, helping with mobility, personal care, and enabling independence at home and work.

You’ll assist with daily activities and social outings such as football matches, with full nurse-led training provided. No prior care experience is required; flexible patterns, clear progression, and DBS cost covered will be offered.

Qualifications

• No care experience required, full nurse-led training provided.
• Demonstrated care, compassion and resilience are essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Moving and handling assistance.
• Administering medications as required per care plan.
• Personal care including catheter care and bowel management.

Job Description

What you’ll do

With this role, you will support our client who has a spinal injury. The main duties of this role will be to support him with mobility, assist him with personal care and help him to be independent both at home and at work. This client enjoys socialising with his friends, especially attending football matches.

The key tasks with this role include:

• Moving and Handling
• Administering medication
• Personal care including catheter care and bowel management.
• Supporting with day to day activities.
