Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group is recruiting Complex Care Assistants (HCA) for day and night shifts in Islington, North London. The role focuses on 1:1 support for clients with complex health needs, including tracheostomy care and airway management.

You will work in the client’s home and community settings, delivering safe, person-centred care with ongoing clinical training and career development opportunities. A right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Complex Care Assistant/Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.
• Tracheostomy care is essential.
• Ventilation support and PEG/enteral feeding experience.
• Seizure management and medication administration.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 specialist support to a client with complex health needs in her home.
• Deliver tracheostomy care and monitor airway status.
• Assist with ventilation and PEG/enteral feeding.
• Manage seizures and administer medications as prescribed.
• Support with personal care and safe moving/handling.

Day Shifts: 8:00am - 8:00pm (Monday to Sunday)

About the Role - Complex Care Assistant (Home Care)

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide 1:1 specialist support to a client living with complex health needs, including tracheostomy and airway management.

This is a community-based role supporting the client in her home and the local community.

Clinical Responsibilities Include:

• Tracheostomy care and airway monitoring
• Ventilation support
• PEG / enteral feeding
• Seizure management / epilepsy support
• Oral and tracheal suctioning
• Medication administration
• Personal care and moving & handling

You will also support with meaningful activities including yoga, drumming, community centre visits, museums, church attendance, and sensory activities.

Essential Experience (Required)

Experience as a Complex Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Carer, or Support Worker

Tracheostomy care (essential)

Ventilation support

Enteral/PEG feeding

Seizure management

Medication administration

Right to work in the UK
