Job summary

Total Community Care (CCH) in Cornwall is seeking a flexible Complex Care worker to support a gentleman with a spinal cord injury. You’ll provide personal and domestic care, and drive him to appointments and activities across the UK and abroad.

No prior care experience is required as we provide full training and a paid induction day. The role operates on a rolling 3-on/6-off rota, with 24-hour shifts starting 8am, and may involve travel with the client.

Qualifications

No care experience required as we provide full training and a paid induction day.
Experience in Catheter Care (Suprapubic) would be advantageous.
Experience with Medication Administration would be advantageous.
Moving & Handling Equipment (Mobile Hoist For Transfers & an Electric Wheelchair) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Look after a gentleman with a spinal cord injury, providing personal and domestic care.
Drive the client to appointments and various activities.
Support client with trips in the UK and abroad.

Pay: Up to £14.75 per hour (National Minimum Wage For Sleeping Hours) / £333.68 per day

Shifts: Rolling Rota - 3 Days On - 6 Days Off - 24 Hour Shifts From 8am

Job Description

Earn £40,000 per year as part of a rolling rota.

3 on 6 off shift pattern. No experience required. The successful applicant must be willing to support client with trips in the UK and abroad.

You will be looking after a gentleman with a spinal cord injury, providing personal, domestic duties and driving the client to appointments and various activities.

The client works on some days during the week and also likes to spend time with his daughter as well as taking trips around the UK and abroad.

The successful applicant must be willing to travel and adjust shifts to accommodate this.

Please note: He does have a pet cat on the premises and does use a vape, therefore the successful applicant would need to be willing to support a client in this environment.
