Job summary

Nursing Direct is seeking compassionate Complex Care Assistants with paediatric experience to provide specialist in-home care for children and young people with complex health needs in North London. Nursing Direct is seeking compassionate, skilled and dedicated Complex Care Assistants with paediatric experience to provide specialist care for children and young people with complex health needs in their own homes across North London.

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will support children living with a range of complex conditions, including neurological disorders, spinal injuries, genetic or congenital conditions, acquired brain injuries and long-term health needs. You will work closely with families and clinical teams to deliver safe, person-centred care that promotes the child's safety, comfort and wellbeing.

Applicants should have previous experience supporting children or young people with complex care needs in community or homecare settings. Experience or training in areas such as tracheostomy care, gastrostomy feeding, ventilator support or seizure management may be required.

Responsibilities may include assisting with clinical tasks such as tracheostomy care, gastrostomy feeds, medication administration and monitoring under appropriate supervision, providing personal care, supporting daily routines and developmental needs, documenting care and reporting changes in the child's condition.

Applicants must currently reside in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of North London. Visa sponsorship is not available.
