Job summary

Routes Healthcare is seeking a Female Complex Care Assistant to provide 1-to-1 care in a client’s home in Chester-le-Street. You will support individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and complex health needs, helping them live safely and independently.

This part-time role includes evening shifts and a Saturday day shift, with fully funded Enhanced DBS and guaranteed hours after probation. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK care experience.
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship.
• Experience with challenging behaviour and non‑verbal clients.
• Reliable, compassionate, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care with dignity and respect.
• Support medication and clinical observations.
• Assist with nutrition and epilepsy (training provided).
• Follow individual care plans.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Essential
