Job summary

Continuity of Care Services in Ashford, Kent is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support a non-verbal client living with cerebral palsy in a home setting. You will provide patient-centred care, help with daily activities and monitor wellbeing in a personalised care environment.

The position is part-time with zero hours contract, based in Ashford. Shifts are Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11:00am–6:00pm (maternity cover).

Qualifications

  • Previous care experience is essential.
  • Eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration.
  • Moving and handling.
  • Peg feed.
  • Positive Behaviour Support (training provided).
  • Basic household chores.
  • Personal care.

Complex Care Assistant Job Overview

Location: Ashford, Kent


Hourly Rate: £15.62 to £17.52 per hour


Shifts available: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:00am- 6:00pm (Maternity Cover)


The rota is scheduled in advance and operates on a two- week alternating cycle:


Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday


Week 2: Monday, Friday


We ask that there is some flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave within the Care Assistant team.


Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant

Previous care experience is essential

About the Complex Care Assistant Role:

Continuity of Care Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support our lively and sociable 30s male client living with complex health needs.


He requires patient and reassuring carers who can anticipate his needs and spend time getting to know him.


He has an active social life regularly enjoying walks in the park and shopping trips and lunch in town.


He also enjoys creative activities such as doing art & craft.


Our clients requirements:


  • Medication administration

  • Moving and handling

  • Peg Feed

  • Positive Behaviour Support (preferred but training will be given)

  • Basic household chores

  • Personal care


Our client is non- verbal and has cerebral palsy, again experience is beneficial but not essential.


Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
