Job summary

Advantage Healthcare in Bognor Regis is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to provide overnight support in a family home. You will deliver calm, respectful care to ensure the client’s comfort, safety and wellbeing through the night, handling personal care, meals, and medication administration.

Experience is not essential, but willingness to learn and a people-first attitude are valued. Free DBS and full training are provided as part of our caring team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex care role is not essential, but PEG feeding, ventilation support, and bowel management are advantageous.
• Medication administration and moving & handling equipment familiarity are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Overnight care for a lady with complex needs, including personal care, food preparation, and safety.
• Medication administration and support with social activities and appointments.
• Client lives with a welcoming family in a pet-free home.

Complex Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a patient, compassionate, and reliable individual to provide overnight support for a lady with complex care needs in her family home, delivering calm, respectful, and attentive care to ensure her comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout the night; duties include personal care, food preparation, medication administration, and support with social activities and appointments. The client lives with a supportive, welcoming family in a pet-free home, has a creative personality, and enjoys films, arts and crafts, and hypnotherapy, valuing reassuring, person-centred support. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is genuinely caring, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality home-based care; experience in complex care is desirable, but kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is not essential, but experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:
