We are currently seeking an IBM i Consultant for our expanding UK team, working remotely with occasional visits to Sheffield.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IBM i Consultant to join our established team as a Senior Technical Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

1. Apply foundational technical knowledge of architecture solutions to meet business needs and resolve technical constraints.
2. Demonstrate independent execution, problem-solving skills, and a passion for engineering excellence.
3. Work on complex projects as a technical expert within the IBM i environment.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables are achieved.

Key Skills

1. Extensive IBM i software knowledge, ideally 10+ years, with SME-level exposure to IBM i OS; familiarity with 3rd party products is a plus.
2. Experience with PASE, Linux, Ansible, Python, Git.
3. Knowledge of HTTPS/IWS API integration on the IBM i platform, alongside SQL.
4. PowerVC experience is desirable.
5. Good understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elastic, and OTEL.
6. Previous experience in a software engineering or developer role (RPG/CL) is advantageous.
