NTT DATA is currently looking for a z/OS Mainframe Storage Consultant remote for our growing team in the UK.

Overview

The z/OS Mainframe Storage Consultant is responsible for leading, building and supporting the zSeries Storage hardware and software infrastructure.

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

Role responsibilities

1. Perform a Technical Project Management role for large zSeries infrastructure deployment and evergreening projects
2. Setup automation to reduce manual interventions in the Storage infrastructure
3. Test new software and exploit functionality
4. Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity
5. Risk and Cost Management
6. Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services
7. Business stakeholder management
8. Vendor liaison and management
9. zSeries Storage hardware / software design, configuration, testing, implementation and support

Skills

Mandatory:

1. The successful candidate will ideally have multiple years of z/OS systems experience, specifically within Mainframe Storage
2. Day to day support around products used in day to day activities
3. Basic IBM functions for storage
4. CA Products - Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate
5. Hardware support knowledge - channel troubleshooting. Mid-level knowledge
6. IWS to analyse housekeeping schedules

Nice to have:

1. T REX and RTD
2. OAM - Object Access Method
