NTT DATA is currently looking for a z/OS Mainframe Storage Consultant for our growing team in the UK.

Overview

The z/OS Mainframe Storage Consultant is responsible for leading, building, and supporting the zSeries Storage hardware and software infrastructure.

Role responsibilities

1. Perform a Technical Project Management role for large zSeries infrastructure deployment and evergreening projects
2. Set up automation to reduce manual interventions in the Storage infrastructure
3. Test new software and exploit functionality
4. Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity
5. Manage risk and costs
6. Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services
7. Manage relationships with business stakeholders
8. Liaise and manage vendors
9. Design, configure, test, implement, and support zSeries Storage hardware/software

Skills

Mandatory:

• Multiple years of z/OS systems experience, specifically within Mainframe Storage
• Support of products used in daily activities
• Basic IBM storage functions
• Experience with CA Products - Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate
• Hardware support knowledge, including channel troubleshooting
• Knowledge of IWS for analyzing housekeeping schedules

Nice to have:

• TRex and RTD
• OAM - Object Access Method
